Teacher, firefighter or princess?
Or all of the above? When you’re a child anything is possible.
Why does that “anything is possible” attitude change in adulthood? Why do adults never carry the optimism of children?
I have a theory. From childhood to adulthood, a man, we’ll call him Joe, grows in knowledge and wisdom. Joe had a huge imagination as a child and aspired to be an astronaut. Supposedly, Joe will never lose his imagination, no matter how old he lives to be. Yet, he loses the desire to be an astronaut. All the knowledge and wisdom that Joe gained also came with logic and reason. Logic and reason tell him that becoming an astronaut is unreasonable due to the high standards in physical and mental ability that are set for them.
So what does Joe do now? He works at a bank.
